These are movies which stand for values, which present heroes who overcome obstacles to achieve a greater end result. Some are simply entertaining but with an emphasis on values.
Most of these movies are included on our blog and also make them available for purchase through Amazon. What an investment in a child's life to be able to see people standing up for something right.
The most outstanding example I can think of which exemplifies that is "Lord of the Rings". Facing impossible odds the main characters decide to die standing up and fighting. The phrase uttered by one of them was "Some things are worth dying for!". That phrase echoes in my mind as a resident of the Niagara Peninsula since it was spoken long before the movie by a young abducted lady in St. Catharines when she was asked to do unspeakable things. She was threatened with death. But she would not give in to evil.
Her name was Kristen French. She is one of my heroes even though she was killed by the abductors.
Below we will simply make a list with a brief summary but on the blog you will see much more information.
Then there are movies which are entertaining but still have good family values in them. Perhaps the New Star Trek would be an example.
