Art, Graphics, Photo & Video Freeware

Tux Paint  is A drawing program for young children with sound effects, a cartoon character, and fun 'rubber stamp'/'sticker book' pictures. I even caught some of my grade 5 and 6's doing it when they thought no one was looking! Also has many addons such as stamps and Animals of Australia and the like. My grandchildren ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!

Irfanview has been one of my favorite pieces of freeware for changing graphic types from one to another. For example if you have a .bmp file and you need a .jpg, Irfanview does that and a whole lot more like slideshows, thumbnails, color editing and so on. You don't want to be without it!
Picasa, freeware from Google is indispensible for importing your photos from the digital camera, making minor editing adjustments like straightening, brightening, cropping and many more. Now you can even make a movie of your slides with background music. THEN you can upload your photos to Picasaweb where they can be stored AND shared with your family and friends as desired. Anyone you allow can click on a link that you send them and download any of the photos or have them sent to an online photo lab for making into prints.
